Burglaries and Vehicle Interference in Rural Preston |
||
|
Good afternoon from Preston Task Force,
Over recent nights we have become aware of a number of burglaries and attempted burglaries involving sheds, garages and vehicles in the Broughton, Woodplumpton and Fulwood areas. Officers are currently carrying out enquiries, and we would like to reassure residents that there will be an increased police presence across these locations over the coming nights.
We ask residents to continue working with us by reporting incidents, sharing any relevant information and submitting CCTV footage where available. We often see comments on social media where people mention that someone has tried their car or garage doors, but these incidents are frequently not reported. Even if nothing is stolen, you are still a victim of crime and it is important that this is logged. Reports and CCTV can play a significant role in identifying offenders, strengthening court outcomes and preventing others from becoming victims.
While officers work to identify those responsible, please remain vigilant and take steps to reduce the risk of further offences. This includes ensuring vehicles, garages and sheds are locked and secure, alarms are set, and CCTV systems are working correctly.
If you would like to report an incident or provide any information, you can do so online or by calling 101. If a crime is in progress or you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call 999.
